Overview

During my time at ONIKON Creative Inc., I led the creation and redesign of single property websites, a crucial marketing tool in the real estate industry. The project aimed to automate website creation as soon as our in-house photographer uploaded edited photos through our dashboard. Additionally, a unified dashboard was developed to efficiently manage all listings, involving collaboration across various departments.

What is the ‘Single Property Website'?

The project focused on automating the creation of single property websites, incorporating ONIKON's services such as photography, floorplans, videography, and school information. The objective was to provide realtors with a powerful marketing tool that allows them to showcase properties virtually to potential buyers.

Impact on Business ✨

Faster Delivery

Reduced internal resources needed to manage listings, resulting in quicker delivery of the single property tool to realtors.

Internal Workflow Enhancement

The dashboard tracked service statuses for each listing, optimized workflow cycles, and facilitated billing readiness.

Challenges

1

Branding Consistency in White-Label Websites

The challenge was to blend the client's branding into the single property websites while keeping them separate from the realtor's main site. This meant finding a balance between the white-label strategy and the need for consistent branding, making sure each realtor's unique identity stood out.

2

Cross-Departmental Listing Management

Overcoming heavy reliance on the photo team as the primary communication channel due to the mandatory nature of the 'photo' item for website creation. The goal was to establish a more collaborative and cross-departmental approach to listing management.

Business Goal

Automating website creation to save internal resources, expedite tool delivery, and enhance experiences for realtors

Design Thought and Process

Incorporating different branding designs

2

Cross-Departmental Timeline Efficiency

Designed an intuitive interface for tracking service statuses and managing assigned services efficiently.

1. Incorporating different branding designs

into white label websites by categorizing two templates

  • Categorized two templates for white-label websites. Default version with logo and branding colors from CRM.

  • Developed version with additional branding elements like patterns and slogans.

  • Audited colors to meet WACG regulations.

  • Suggested a manual color-code input on the dashboard for accessibility.

2. Cross-Departmental Timeline Efficiency

Designed an intuitive interface for tracking service statuses and managing assigned services efficiently.

  • Conducted interviews with each team to understand pain points.

Identified challenges: lack of clarity on completed services and uncertainty about required services for shipment.

  • Implemented a table to outline the types of services needed for a listing's website. Included a status indicator in the table for a quick overview.

  • Introduced a log section to track data saving and shipment confirmation, ensuring transparency and accountability in the workflow.

Next Steps

🏗️ Library of Feature Wireframes Layouts

The next steps include building a comprehensive library of feature wireframe layouts. This initiative enhances design options, ensuring a quick turnaround and cost-effective solutions. Clients gain flexibility, easily importing meticulously crafted section templates for independent combination and modification after the initial creation of real estate websites.

🤳🏻 Responsive Mobile Design

Prioritizing responsive mobile design to optimize user experiences on smartphones and tablets. Ensuring a seamless and engaging interface across devices, this step enhances our clients' ability to reach and engage with their audience in the ever-expanding mobile landscape.
